Academics Overview


For over two decades, Victory Christian Center School has consistently excelled in academics. Victory Christian Center School’s classrooms are interactive learning environments, which foster the development of critical thinking skills.  Our Christ-centered academic training includes a phonics-oriented reading program, English, history, spelling, math and science, along with penmanship, literature, P.E., music and art.  Our core class curriculum also includes honors and AP courses. Courses are taught from a compilation of the best curricula in the United States.

Our students have also been acknowledged nationally for outstanding achievements in Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM).  Since 2007, graduating classes have averaged over $3.5 million in scholarship offers with 95-97 percent of them attending four-year colleges and universities. One of our 2013 graduates scored in the top 1% worldwide of students who took the PSAT. For the past three years, the VCCS Rocket Team has been selected by NASA  to compete in its national Student Launch Iniative in Huntsville, AL. VCCS is the only high school team in the Mecklenburg County region to qualify.

Curriculum

Victory Christian Center School has self-contained traditional classrooms with low pupil/teacher ratios. Heavy emphasis is placed on God’s principles through daily Bible study, prayer, memory work, and a weekly Chapel. Academic training, which is Christ-centered, includes a phonics oriented reading program, English, history, spelling, science, penmanship, math, literature, P.E., music, art, etc. We are teaching these courses from a variety of the best curricula in the United States. They are tempered with lots of fun and love for each individual.o.

Spiritual and Character Development

All VCCS Students participate in morning devotions and weekly chapel that enable them to establish and strengthen their personal relationships with God. Weekly memorization of Bible verses is required.

The Kings are a close-knit family who implement Biblical principles that build confidence to overcome obstacles to help students excel in their endeavors. Those who have been entrusted with the task of helping to mold the lives of the students have a genuine love and concern for each one.
